Requirements |
Candidate will apply principles, techniques and specialized
knowledge in the field of computer science and computer
information systems to “localize” various software & websites,
i.e. to render software & websites including applications and
database systems which are originally written in English,
accessible and operational to users/operators and readers in
another language. He/she will also design and develop clients’
multilingual websites with sophisticated e-commerce
applications. Windows XP, 2000 & NT as well as Mac OS X & 9 as
the technology platforms, TRADOS (MultiTerm & WorkBench), Tag
Editor, Catalyst, Passolo and Java CAT tools for software and
website localization.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer
Science or Engineering, with some hands-on experience in the
field.

Requirements
Analyze complex projects to define client requirements and
allocate project resources. Develop project quotes and
schedules.
Select and assign the translation team and organize project
resources.
Review instructions, monitor project costs and ensure the timely
delivery and accurate of projects.
Prepare and submit project reports to clients at the agreed-upon
time intervals.
Lead post project analysis. Identify and suggest process
improvements.

Qualifications
Minimum
BA/BS degree in language-related field or equivalent experience
Experience in the business services industry, including
experience in translation/localization a plus
Thorough understanding of translation requirements and processes
Excellent leadership skills
Communication skills in written and spoken English
Familiarity with a variety of PC and MAC programs, and
translation tools, such as TRADOS, Alchemy Catalyst, a plus
Multi-lingual capability is a plus |
